Jeff Lorber Fusion returned to Europe for the 2011 Winter Tour. He performed in the Boerderij Zoetermeer (NL) on December 8th, accompanied by Eric Marienthal (sax), Jimmy Haslip (bass) and Gary Novak (drums).

#1 Jazzgroup Fourplay performed in the Boerderij - Zoetermeer (NL) during their European tour. SmoothJazz Europe was given the chance to have an interview with them, right after the soundcheck. It was a fantastic night, interview and performance!

Chieli Minucci & Special EFX - November 4th, 2011
Chieli Minucci & Special EFX performed in Metropool Hengelo (NL) during a short European tour. This New York based jazzfusion band celebrates their 25th anniversary in 2011. Supported by Dutch percussionist Martin Verdonk, Special EFX gave a fantastic performance!

Mezzoforte & Līdia On Bass - September 24th, 2011
On September 24th, 2011, SmoothJazz Europe held their second big musical event: Mezzoforte, live in Metropool Hengelo (NL). The concert was amazing, the venue was packed and the people loved it! But not only Mezzoforte did the job, support act L'dia On Bass gave a great solo performance with her unbelievable funky bass and her soulful voice!

Richard Smith - April 10th, 2011
April 10th, 2011 was the first Jazz & Dine, with USA guitarplayer Richard Smith. After a short clubtour in The Netherlands, Richard held his grand finale in the Kulturhus Holten. Backed up by Dutch/Italian sidemen Sietse Huisman (drums), Daniele Labbate (bass) and Tico Pierhagen (keyboards), this concert was a great succes. Richard played some of his greatest songs from his albums as a lead-artist by which he succeeded in entertaining and moving the audience. Served with tasteful drinks and food, they loved it!

Bob Baldwin, Tom Braxton, Chieli Minucci - September 25th, 2010
September 25th, 2010, was the first time SmoothJazz Europe held their own and first event: USA contemporary jazz giants Bob Baldwin, Tom Braxton, Chieli Minucci. Backup up by Dutch/Italian musicians Sietse Huisman (drums), Daniele Labbate (bass) and Martin Verdonk (percussion), these three USA musicians played for the first time together! With a fantastic compilation of their own solo songs, they gave the people a super great piece of live Smooth Jazz!

SmoothJazz Europe organized their first clubtour in The Netherlands with Tom Braxton. Between March 31st and April 4th, 2010, Tom toured in The Netherlands with a Dutch backup band. SmoothJazz Europe interviewed Tom before the last show in Groningen on April 4th. |
